On March 22, 2026, Global 3D ASIA 2026, one of Asia’s premier Radio Control helicopter contests, concluded successfully in Zhuhai, China. The event brought together nearly 60 RC helicopter pilots, while attracting a large audience of RC enthusiasts to witness a spectacular flight show.

This year’s competition featured three classes: Master, Expert, and Sportsman. In both the Master and Expert classes, pilots competed across three rounds: set maneuvers, flight to music, and freestyle, which places strict demands on RC helicopter control precision, flight stability, and overall performance. The pilots fully demonstrated the extreme maneuverability and artistic flair of radio controller helicopter flying, and the competition was exceptionally fierce.

During the Master class finals, five top pilots delivered exceptional performances through precise and refined control and dynamic 3D maneuvers, seamlessly combining advanced techniques with strong visual impact. Their routines continuously energized the audience and fully demonstrated the world-class level of 700-class 3D helicopter competition.
In this intense competition, HOBBYWING team pilots achieved outstanding results with their excellent performance, supported by reliable HOBBYWING RC brushless power systems.
Master Class:
2nd Place: Kan Poonnoi
4th Place: Carl-Henning Siebert
5th Plance: Checky Leenawat Sampadsin

Expert Class:
1st Place:JaeHong Lee
3rd:Lu Hao

In terms of electronic equipment, the Platinum 260A V5 ESC and Platinum 180A V5 ESC remained the preferred choice for HOBBYWING pilots in 700-class RC helicopter competitions. High-intensity 3D flight places strict demands on RC controllers performance. With efficient heat dissipation, consistent power output, and ultra-fast throttle response, these ESCs delivered reliable performance throughout precise maneuvers and continuous high-load flight, enabling pilots to maintain full control of their flight rhythm.

Beyond the main competition, HOBBYWING pilots & F3N & 3D world champion ——Kenny Ko, and the world-class pilot Dunkan Bossion performed multiple demo flights for HOBBYWING,using Platinum 260A V5 electronic speed controllers. Their outstanding radio control helicopter control and professional-level 3D flying skills earned enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The event also featured interactive sessions and engaging activities, attracting both pilots and spectators, and allowing every RC enthusiast to immerse themselves in the atmosphere and enjoy the excitement of radio-controlled aircraft flying.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all participating pilots for their performances, as well as to the organizers and staff for their professionalism and dedication. Looking ahead, HOBBYWING will continue to advance in the field of brushless power systems, working together with the global RC community. We look forward to the next Global 3D ASIA event.
