Coaxial VTOL

As vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fixed-wing UAVs see rapid adoption in powerline inspections, wind farm maintenance, and emergency search and rescue, heavy-payload missions are setting new performance and reliability standards for propulsion systems.

From high-salt, high-humidity offshore operations to scorching, dust-filled desert missions, drone motors must deliver not only powerful thrust, but also exceptional stability, reliability, and corrosion resistance to ensure true all-weather capability.

HOBBYWING’s V series V11122 and V11130 high-power brushless motors are purpose-built for 80–100 kg-class VTOL UAVs, providing safe, efficient, and consistent power in the harshest conditions. With thrust-to-weight ratios of 39.8 and 37.8 and maximum thrust of 52.5kg and 63kg respectively, these heavy lift drone motors deliver powerful output, rapid responsiveness, and explosive lift during vertical climbs.

When paired with HOBBYWING’s IPC (Intelligent Propeller Control) ESC, the system precisely adjusts propeller angle to reduce drag during cruise, extending endurance and improving efficiency for long-duration inspection and search-and-rescue operations.

Both V11122 and V11130 motors feature an IP45 protection rating, enlarged air outlets, and a high-efficiency centrifugal cooling fan for superior heat dissipation. They are validated through rigorous industry-standard testing, including:
- Drive compatibility
- Water and dust ingress
- High/low temperature endurance
- Damp-heat cycling and environmental stress screening
- 48-hour neutral salt spray test (GB/T 10125-2012)

Motor testing

This comprehensive testing ensures reliable performance in high-temperature, humid, sandy, and salt-laden environments such as deserts and offshore missions — making the V11122 and V11130 the reliable propulsion for demanding heavy-lift VTOL applications.
