At the recently concluded inaugural 2025 IFMAR 1/8th Scale Electric Off-Road World Championship, HOBBYWING driver Marcus Kaerup secured the event's first-ever world title with an overwhelming victory, powered by XeRun XR8 PRO G3 ESC paired with the 4268 G3 2200KV motor.
This inaugural event marked the first time IFMAR had organised a 1/8th electric Off-Road world championship, drawing the world's elite drivers to compete. The Barcelona Electric Off-Road Arena is renowned for its demanding jump sections and challenging track conditions, placing extreme demands on the stability and reliability of powertrains. In the fiercely contested Group A final, HOBBYWING Power Systems demonstrated formidable competitiveness: among the top 13 finishers, five drivers utilised HOBBYWING ESCs and six employed HOBBYWING RC car motors.
Marcus showcased impressive speed and consistency throughout the final. Reflecting post-race, he remarked: Unstable weather persisted throughout the event. Overnight rainfall left the track surface loose and narrowed the racing line. Deviating slightly cost fractions of a second. It was extremely demanding." HOBBYWING Power Systems ensured consistently linear and ample power delivery, remaining flawless even during intense battles. This allowed drivers to focus entirely on their driving, perform at their peak, and ultimately secure victory.
