Recently, the 23rd China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMA) concluded successfully at the Chongqing International Expo Center. A global leader in brushless power technology, Hobbywing Technology showcased its full lineup of core electric motorcycle products—including electric motorcycle motors and electronic speed controllers (ESCs)—at the fair. With customized solutions defined by strong adaptability, high reliability, and superior performance, Hobbywing emerged as a standout focal point in the e-motorcycle core components sector.
Hobbywing’s electric motorcycle motors and ESCs precisely align with the needs of both manufacturers and end-users, earning widespread recognition for their robust performance:
Motorcycle Motors: Balancing Range, Power, and Quiet Operation. At the heart of these motors lie customized flat wire windings, enabling higher power output with the same volume, lower energy consumption, extended e-motorcycle/e-bike range, and stronger climbing capability—directly meeting users’ dual demands for long-distance travel and high power. Optimized via FEA (Finite Element Analysis) electromagnetic simulation and supported by micron-level slot opening control, the motors deliver significantly improved NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) performance, ensuring smooth rotation without jitter. This empowers manufacturers to develop high-end electric motorcycles and e-bikes with quiet, comfortable riding experiences.
Electric Motorcycle Controllers: Full-Scenario Adaptability, Merging Safety and Efficiency. Spanning a rated power range of 1.5 kW to 10 kW and a voltage platform of 48V to 96V, these controllers incorporate a current trajectory optimization algorithm to reduce energy use. Their “one-click self-learning” function streamlines the matching process between motors (electric motorcycle & electric motocross bike) and controllers, cutting down on setup time for manufacturers. Featuring a dual-layer architecture, the controllers provide dual safeguards through real-time monitoring and backup systems, creating an “all-weather, all-road-condition” reliable experience for users. They have passed rigorous testing, including IP67 waterproof and dustproof certification and -40℃ to 85℃ high-low temperature cycles, making them suitable for diverse climates across northern and southern China as well as complex road conditions. Supporting multiple interfaces (magnetic encoding / HALL, serial / CAN) and offering on-demand software customization, the controllers flexibly accommodate various vehicle types, such as electric scooters, electric off-road bikes, electric dirt bikes, and electric motocross bikes.
“The energy efficiency of Hobbywing’s electric motorcycle motors exceeds our expectations—equipping our commuter electric motorcycles with these motors boosts range by 5%-10%, a key competitive edge in the end market,” noted the Purchasing Director of a leading domestic electric motorcycle manufacturer at CIMA. The company has already signed sample testing agreements for multiple vehicle models. A distributor from Southeast Asia highlighted the controllers’ adaptability: “Local road conditions are complex, but Hobbywing’s electric motorcycle controllers have comprehensive weather resistance test data. We plan to introduce two controller models to match locally popular vehicle types.”
Li Peng, Sales Director of Hobbywing’s Personal Mobility Product Line, stated, “CIMA serves as a bridge connecting industrial demand and technological innovation. This participation not only helped us secure orders for electric motorcycle motors and ESCs but also gained clarity on manufacturers’ needs for ‘integrated power solutions’.”
Youhui Liu, Deputy Managing Director of Hobbywing Technology, stated: “Going forward, we will focus on advancing two key priorities: First, deepen the collaborative integration of e-motorcycle motors and ESCs to develop more efficient and secure integrated power systems; Second, gain deeper insights into user needs to make riding smarter and deliver greater peace of mind to users. Hobbywing will continue to be market-oriented and uphold quality as its cornerstone, providing more reliable and efficient e-motorcycle power system solutions to global customers, and working with industry partners to jointly advance the upgrade of electric motorcycle travel quality!”
