HOBBYWING’s newly released XeRun AXE 5IVE R3 is a high-performance 8S sensored brushless crawler ESC designed specifically for 1/6 and 1/5 scale large-scale crawlers. Combining powerful output, intelligent adjustment, and comprehensive protection features, it delivers a stable, potent, and responsive driving experience.

8S High Power, Robust Power Output

Designed for large-scale RC crawlers, this high-performance 8S brushless crawler ESC features advanced FOC (Field-Oriented Control) technology for strong low-speed torque and smooth, precise power delivery. Even at extremely low speeds, the crawler ESC maintains consistent and refined throttle response while helping reduce the operating noise associated with traditional drive systems.

Supporting up to 8S LiPo batteries and delivering up to 220A continuous current, this 1/6 and 1/5 scale crawler ESC XeRun AXE 5IVE R3 is built to handle demanding high-load applications. It is compatible with the XeRun AXE 4987 R3S crawler motor and also supports the XeRun AXE 4274 R3 motor. With an IP67 protection rating, the ESC provides excellent resistance to water and dust, making it suitable for challenging outdoor terrain including rocks, mud and water crossings.

Note: The XeRun AXE 4274 R3 motor supports up to 6S.

The industry-leading BEC delivers up to 14V and 35A of output, with voltage adjustable from 6V to 14V in precise 0.1V increments. It provides ample power for standard, high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage servos, as well as accessories such as lighting systems and winches.

Important: Most receivers are rated for a maximum input voltage of 9V or less. Before setting the BEC output above 8.4V, always confirm that your receiver supports the selected voltage. Excessive voltage may damage the receiver.

Intelligent Torque Control for Effortless Control

The built-in intelligent torque control system automatically adjusts power output according to the vehicle's driving conditions.

When the car is going uphill, the RC car ESC automatically increases torque to overcome resistance and maintain momentum. When descending, it reduces torque and regulates the vehicle’s speed for greater stability and control.

The cooling fan remains off at low ESC temperatures and automatically switches on when the preset temperature is reached. This intelligent system reduces noise and power consumption while maintaining an optimal operating temperature.

Note: The intelligent fan start/stop function can be manually disabled.

Dual Auxiliary Channels for Real-Time Tuning, Keep Track of the Power Status at All Times

Connect the white and yellow signal wires to available receiver channels to adjust ESC settings such as drag brake force directly from the transmitter while driving.

Besides, it supports the FlySky NB4 series remote control, enabling real-time monitoring of key data such as battery voltage, motor RPM, operating current, and ESC/motor temperatures. It also allows for real-time adjustment of ESC parameters directly from the remote control making tuning more intuitive and convenient.

Note: This feature requires a firmware update for the FlySky remote control. The actual support date is subject to the FlySky firmware release schedule.

The crawler ESC features built-in Bluetooth, allowing it to connect directly to the HW Link app without any additional devices. Adjust settings, view operating data and update the firmware quickly and conveniently from your smartphone. By enabling the real-time data function, you can monitor key operating parameters—such as throttle input, voltage, current, temperature, and rotational speed—in real time, providing a clear overview of the powertrain's operating status.

Note: The effective Bluetooth range is approximately 5 metres.

Versatile Driving Modes& Extensive Tuning Options

You can choose from four driving modes to suit a wide range of applications: Forward/Reverse, Forward/Reverse with Brake, Hybrid Mode and Forward with Brake.

With 22 adjustable parameters and up to 24°of Turbo timing, the ESC can be precisely configured for different vehicles, terrain and driving preferences. When conditions allow, Turbo timing unleashes maximum motor speed at full throttle.
