HOBBYWING introduces the upgraded Platinum 80A V5 Electronic Speed Controller, purpose-built for RC helicopter enthusiasts and pilots. In order to address the growing need for heat dissipation performance when operating 420-class electric helicopters under high loads and extended flight, this ESC features newly added fan mounting holes, allowing pilots to flexibly install an external cooling fan based on their flying requirements.
Based on the double-sided hollow heat dissipation structure and optimized internal airflow design of the Platinum V5 series Electronic Speed Controller, the Platinum 80A V5 ESC now offers improved heat dissipation capabilities due to the compatibility of the cooling fan. This ensures the ESC for RC helicopters maintains optimal operating temperatures even during aggressive 3D maneuvers and heavy-load flights, delivering delivering a safer and more consistent flight experience for pilots.
Designed specifically for 325mm to 420mm main rotor electric helicopters, as well as small to mid-sized electric fixed-wing aircraft, the Platinum 80A V5 ESC balances a compact size with outstanding functionality.
Platinum 80A V5 ESC includes a built-in programmable switch-mode BEC with a voltage range of 5V to 12V, and can handle peak currents up to 20A, providing a reliable power supply for devices including servos.
Equipped with a high-performance 32-bit MCU and advanced governor algorithms, Platinum 80A V5 ESC offers precise speed governor control for lightweight and compact size RC helicopters. The ESC also supports real-time telemetry and is compatible with major systems such as Mikado VBar System and Futaba S.BUS2, enabling users direct access to tune parameters via transmitters or check the ESC working status.
